Kryri Reeves
One of the main protagonists of the novel, Awake. She is a poor scavenger living in Shoquer. She steals things and turns around and sells them for a living. After a catastrophe, she is left the only one awake in Shoquer. She meets up with other's who found themselves awake as well. The five of them team up to wake everyone up. Kyri is known to be very independent and does not appreciate others trying to be like her. She is not very trusting and has a special talent for being able to read people's emotions. Kyri suspects her parents are dead, but does not know for sure.

Nova Reeves
A protagonist of the novel, Awake. Nova is Kyri's younger cousin, who believes Kyri is her sister. She lives in Shoquer but hates the idea of being a Scavenger. Nova is an intelligent and good-hearted person. Nova falls victim to the experiment that puts the world to sleep and is taken to be tested on. The government often uses Nova to get Kyri to cooperate with them. Nova, like her cousin, is very independent and hates not getting her way. Nova is very afraid of the government, and the Guards. She is also very talented in acrobatics.

Mai Skydart
The main protagonist of the novel, Cloned*. Mai comes from a middle-class family in Shoquer, although she lives in the poorest part. Her mother is a former scavenger, and her father is a not very well known inventor. There are very few families in this situation. After surviving the Shoquer massacre, Mai finds out her family is dead. She is taken care of by the rebel boy who found her. He becomes the closest thing she has to family. After he tells her that the rebellion has fallen apart, Mai is determined to start a new one. But after an argument, Mai is killed. She is very stubborn, and will not listen to others views on things. Mai is very strong though and makes a good leader.

Lea Skydart.
The main protagonist in the novel, Cloned*, and a protagonist in the novel, Awake. When Mai died, the capitol cloned her, creating Lea. They tried to make Lea perfect, but messed up and made her more of a rebel than Mai was. She insists on being able to speak to Mai, but no one believes her. Lea manages to start a rebellion, and after they are all captured by the Capitol, they become known as the Black Band Rebellion. Lea saves Kyri and her friends from the Capitol, and they become part of the rebel cause. Lea also becomes one of Kyri's closest friends, since they both lost their parents to the Capitol. Lea is a strong leader, yet very stubborn. She is hurt very easily and doesn't trust easily.

Cres Yanslai
One of the main protagonists of the novel, Awake. Cres was in the same situation as Mai, her mother being a Marine Biologist and her father being a fisher. Cres and her family liked to tour the world often. Once when in Shoquer, Cres was robbed by Kyri, a beginning scavenger at the time. Shortly after that, her mother died. Cres was the only one left awake in Eau and joins up with Kyri and the others to wake everyone up. Cres has a pessimistic outlook on life and is often in a bad mood. She is very stubborn and will defend her friends and family at all costs.

Dust Rinz
One of the main protagonists of the novel, Awake. Dust is from a family of theives. Dust hates this, since he is a pacifist and hates doing anything to hurt others. He loves his family, though, and will do anything to keep them safe. After the whole world is put in a coma, Dust is one of the few left awake. He is desperate to help his family and is the first one to give in to Maris. He goes along with Kyri, Cres and the others, and turns out to be very helpful. Dust is very trusting, and can sometimes be blind to who is really betraying him. He is very smart and clever, and knows many things most people don't. Dust and Kyri tend to get along well, since they have very similar jobs and think alike.

Maris Thane
One of the main protagonists in the novel, Awake. Maris is from the capitol, and is very valuable to the government. Although Maris seems like the governments perfect soldier, she has assisted the rebels on multiple occasions. In the government, she is known as Thane, but refers to herself as Maris to anyone else. How she was left awake is a mystery (no, it's actually just spoilers), but she was the one who got everyone to meet, through the blog she uses to contact the rebels. Maris is very secretive, most people not knowing much about her.
